DESCRIPTION
Grasp the essentials needed to begin playing Acoustic Guitar. You will be able to learn an easy approach that will get you playing quickly, through a combination of exploring the instrument, performance technique and basic music theory. This course begins with the different parts of the Acoustic Guitar including the names of the strings, tuning and technique-whether fingerstyle or pick. This course then explores the basics of music theory with topics as scales, triads, power chords, fingering and shapes. In this course, students will understand the structure, the parts and accessories of the instrument including to the understanding of its basic maintenance. Candidates will also learn about how to develop the correct technique while applying theory concepts to their play. Sufficient amount of fundamental knowledge will be provided which is necessary enough to pursue the Intermediate Guitar Courses.
